The underground railroad.

I have worked so hard on the underground railroad. I've saved many lives. People are now calling me Moses. Like in the bible. I guess I could kind of see how I'm similar. I'm very glad to be such a help to all of these wonderful people, and lead them to their freedom.
Not long ago, they passed the fugitive slave act. So I can't really take them to the north anymore. I have to lead them further north. To Canada, but that's okay, i'm willing to go as far as I need to. As long as I free my people.

About me .

My name is Harriet Tubman. I was born in 1820. As a child I was born out to different plantations. When I was 12 my slave own threw a metal weight an accidentally hit me in the head. I suffered Epilepsy ever since. Since then I've had vision that I believe is god communicating with me. In 1844 I married John Tubman, A free black man. In 1849 I escaped from the south and traveled to Philadelphia, Using the north star. Then I went on to help other slaves to their freedom using the underground railroad. During the Civil war I organized a gang of black spy's for the union. I also established school for black men and worked with Susan B Anthony on women suffrage's. I wrote a book called “Scene's in the life of Harriet Tubman.” In 1908 I opened a home for older poor African Americans in new york. Which is where I live.
